Sunday morning I took the bus to Astoria Park to photograph the last vestiges of the autumn season. The day was perfect and Mother Nature was quite cooperative. Growing up in Astoria Queens NY, Astoria Park was my playground all year long.  It has a beautiful pool for summer swimming, a quarter mile running track with a spectacular view of the East River and Manhattan. Two stunning suspension bridges: Triboro and Hellgate.  Acres of green grass and tall trees that burst into color during the fall and spring seasons.  I walked along the EastRiver and wandered under and around the giant concrete pylons of the Hellgate bridge.  A wonderful peaceful fun place anytime of the year.
