This past Labor Day weekend I went to the Shinnecock Pow Wow in Shinnecock Long Island. Feathers, buckskins, beads, blankets, handcrafted jewelry, pounding rythmic drums. Native Americans of the Shinnecock Indian Nation  told stories of their people through their many intricate tribal dances.  A proud people with an expansive Algonquin culture rich in history and folk lore. It was an honor and pleasure to have been at this exciting, colorful and educational festival. Take a peek at the pics below. Stay in Focus 🙂
