BBG looks verdant and lush while the trails are calm and tranquil and ready for hikers to walk through one of the gems of the Bronx. The falls are majestically eloquent in their cascading motion yet exquisite with creamy fluidity. Beautiful and charming in grace and elegance, yet………………. Softly Falling. Stunning!!

What scenes and memories these stones and markers evoke and how beautifully Cate captured the calm and reverence in this place of repose. This is truly a harmonious and reflective stroll through one of Brooklyn’s famous cemeteries and the geese, gargoyles and statuary remain ever watchful over things unseen and unheard by ordinary visitors. These elements are expertly captured and portrayed in a thoughtful and sensitive picturesque composition. As always, outstanding and how wonderful, more to come!!!

So breathtaking, Cate. I know it’s a strange word to use to describe the images, but they are to me, romantic captures of rest. And beautiful ones too. When I first moved to NYC in 1996 I lived in Bay Ridge just past the Gowanus Expressway. I use to walk south on 7th Avenue to the Cemetery to take a look. The Cemetery is so big, though, that I never really had the chance to walk the whole area. I remember seeing the family cottages…I like that description of them. Yes, they could make a thrilling walk at midnight I look forward to your Fall and Winter galleries. Allyson.
